1.11.1769 Beginning of the building of the Ironworks Resita

Putting into operation the first two blast furnaces in Resita

1782 A new blast furnace is built, it replaces one of the two furnaces built in 1771
1816 The third blast furnace is built
1846 For the first time in Romania, the rolling technology is employed in Resita
1850 A new blast furnace is put into operation and the workshops are modernized
1851 In Resita the first railway rail in Romania is rolled
1854 The Austrian government leases the Resita Works to the railway company STEG, an international syndicate
1857 Beginning of the mill modernization work

1861 Three blast furnaces, charcoal based, are put into operation
1862 The first tender locomotive STEG with coupled wheels is made
1864 Coal coking ovens are put into operation
1868 The first Bessemer converters are put into operation
1870 The mill for rolling tyres for waggon and locomotive wheels is built
1872 The first narrow gauge steam locomotives are made
1876 The Siemens Martin (open hearth) technology is employed for steelmaking
1880 The No. 4 blast furnace is put into operation
1883 Small power plants are built

1893 The old blast furnaces are taken down and other two new blast furnaces are built instead
1901 - 1904 The hydroelectric power station "Grebla" is built
1905 The thermoelectric power station is built

1905 - 1906 A new refractory material factory is built
1907 - 1909 The dam "Valiug" with a storage lake of 1.2 million m3 capacity is built

1909 The rolling mills are modernized - two high reversing mill, plate mill, jobbing sheet mill, universal rolling mill, medium section mill, small section mill
1910 The 4 th American made blast furnace is put into operation

1914 Rebuilding of the steel-melting plant - 4 open hearth furnaces with a hot metal mixer and a tilting electric furnace
1920 Foundation of the joint-stock company "Uzinele de Fier si Domeniile din Resita - UDR"
1923 - 1926 2 blast furnaces are rebuilt
1926 The first normal gauge railway locomotive is made

1928 - 1930 Two new rolling mills are installed - the wheel and the tyre mills are built
1929 Another electric furnace is built
1934 A new coke factory is built
1936 Foundation of the business group "Resita - Malaxa"
1937 By building of the no. 7 open hearth furnace the capacity of the steel plant is increased

1948 The storage lake "Gozna - Valiug" with 10 million m3 capacity is built
1952  Beginning of the building of the soaking pit furnaces for the rolling mills
1958  The Siemens Martin steel plant is rebuilt, the small furnaces are replaced with 125 and 250 t furnaces; a new hot metal mixer is provided

1961 - 1962 The 700 m3 blast furnaces are built; a pig casting machine is installed
1962 The storage lake "Secu" with 7 million m3 capacity is built
Development of the quarrying, preparation and transportation system for the process limestone The ore agglomeration plant is put into operation
1.04.1962 Reorganization of the company "Combinatul Metalurgic Resita": splitting into two companies "Combinatul Siderurgic Resita" and "Intreprinderea Constructoare de Masini"
1963 The second pig casting machine is put into operation
1964 The lime factory is put into operation
1966 A new 250 t open hearth furnace is put into operation
1967 The medium section mill and the small section mill are rebuilt
1968 The second calcinator is put into operation at the burnt lime factory
1969 The new laboratory is put into operation at the steel plant
1971 The third 250 t open hearth furnace is put into operation at the Siemens Martin steel plant
1978 The roughing and blooming mill is put into operation
Outfit and modernization of the transportation department
1980 End of th first stage of development of the hydroelectric and thermoelectric power systems
1983 Start of the building work at a new coke chemical plant
Start of the construction work at the hydroelectric power station "Nera Crainicel"
1986 Process computers are implemented in the operation of the blast furnaces and the steel plant
1991 The blast furnaces and the iron ore aglomeration factory is shut down
1995 Start of the construction and erection work for the new electric steel plant
